How to Use Our Vouchers $50 Spay-Neuter VouchersOur vouchers are intended for free-roaming stray and feral (ie; unowned) cats only. These vouchers are not intended for pets or friendly cats you wish to keep inside or adopt to another person. Each cat will have 3/8" of their left ear cut straight across to identify them as sterilized and vaccinated feral cats. Please do not attempt to use these vouchers improperly; you may be refused services and will be putting this program at risk. The vouchers will cover spay or neuter surgery, rabies, and distemper vaccines and ear crop. Any other services requested of the participating veterinarian will be at your expense. Bring the entire voucher to your appointment and sign the voucher on the day of surgery. If you have general questions about feral cats and trapping, contact Operation Catnip. The vets who accept our vouchers are not representatives of Operation Catnip. Instructions for Vouchers: 1. You will need to fill our the Voucher Request Form * . Fill out the request and make sure your email address and phone number are correct. This is the information that will be included on the voucher as well as the email address it will be sent to. 2. Pay for your voucher(s) below. 3. Once a determination is made, you will receive your voucher through email. If you do not qualify, an email will be sent to you with additional resources and a refund will be issued. Please allow between 24-48 hours for a voucher to be issued. 4. When the voucher is emailed to you, you must print out the voucher to bring to your appointment. You will sign and date the voucher on the day of surgery. If you have any questions, please contact the Voucher Coordinator at ocvouchers@gmail.com *You will only need to fill out the voucher request form one time unless the cats you are trapping are from a different location than the original request form states. You will also need to fill out a new voucher request form if your address or phone number changes.
You can also choose to have your voucher(s) mailed to you if you do not have email. If you choose this option, be sure to include that note in the additional comments. TrapsCats must go to the veterinarian in a humane trap (not carriers) and there must be one cat per trap. Operation Catnip does loan out traps with a fully refundable $20 cash deposit. To borrow traps please fill out our trap request form here. Please confirm your appointment before requesting traps but keep in mind we will need time to arrange to meet you to get the trap. AppointmentsYou must make an appointment with the participating veterinary clinic directly. State that you have an Operation Catnip Voucher when you make the appointment. Listen carefully, to that clinic’s instructions. Please keep in mind that these are private practices that may or may not be able to accommodate your schedule. If one clinic on the list is not available when you would like, try another. These practices voluntarily accept our vouchers for feral cats while continuing to operate their business.
DO NOT TRAP ANY CATS WITHOUT A VOUCHER IN HAND & AN APPOINTMENT!
